Arrive Early, Stay Late on Senior Day
March 4, 2005 | Men's Basketball
March 4, 2005
If you're one of the lucky 21,750 with a ticket for Sunday's Duke-Carolina game in Chapel Hill, please be aware that all fans are being asked to be in their seats at least 20 minutes before the 4 p.m. tipoff and remain in their seats after the final buzzer for a special ceremony.
Carolina will honor a group of five special seniors--Jawad Williams, Melvin Scott, Jackie Manuel, Charlie Everett, and C.J. Hooker--who have been an integral part of the rebuilding of Tar Heel basketball. The seniors will be honored before the game and will individually address the crowd from center court after the end of the game. Please plan ahead and be in your seat by 3:40 in order to thank these seniors for their contributions to Carolina basketball, and stay in your seat after the game to hear their final words to Tar Heel fans.
Please be aware that traffic is likely to be very, very heavy in the Smith Center area on Sunday afternoon. Allow extra time to get to the game so you don't miss out on the senior day festivities.
