After capturing the 2005 NCAA title with a 75-70 victory over Illinois, North Carolina will appear on the cover of this week's Sports Illustrated. The issue will start hitting newsstands late on Wednesday, with widespread distribution on Thursday.
North Carolina was last on the cover of SI for the basketball preview issue (Nov 22, 2004).
