Evans Named Academic All-District

Sophomore shortstop Anna Evans was named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District III University Division Second Team, the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) announced recently. Evans, an exercise and sport science major from Fairmont, N.C., currently holds a 3.607 grade point average. Evans is also a UNC Morehead Scholar, the highest academic honor given at Carolina. She led the Tar Heels offensively in 2005, earning First Team All-ACC honors for her efforts.
