The North Carolina softball team faces a busy upcoming weekend as the Tar Heels will wrap up the fall portion of their schedule with four games - including two as host of the Carolina Fall Classic - in two days.
The 2-0 Tar Heels, who won both of their contests at the Coastal Carolina Tournament Sept. 24, open up play with an 11 a.m. match-up Saturday against East Carolina at Anderson Stadium as part of the Carolina Fall Classic. The Heels follow that up with a game against UNC-Pembroke at 1 p.m. The tournament, which runs all day Saturday, features four teams and five games in total.
On Sunday, Carolina will make the short trip to Raleigh, N.C., for the Wolfpack Invitational at Walnut Creek. The Heels will first face Pfeiffer at 11:30 a.m. before capping off fall play with a 2 p.m. date against Elon.
The Tar Heels begin their regular season with the Carolina Classic on Feb. 9.
