No. 2 Tar Heels Head To Myrtle Beach For Two

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. --- North Carolina (11-0) will play its first true road game of the season Monday when the Tar Heels face Coastal Carolina at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center at 6 p.m. UNC will follow that with a 7:30 p.m. matchup with St. John's on Wednesday. Carolina has won 11 straight to open the season for the second year in a row and the sixth time in school history after defeating South Carolina State 92-42 Saturday afternoon. The Tar Heels are ranked No. 2 in the nation in both polls for the sixth straight week. Coastal Carolina is 5-3 after falling to UNC Greensboro Saturday, while St. John's is 3-7 after losing at Boston University on Sunday afternoon.

COASTAL CAROLINA SERIES NOTES
North Carolina is 9-0 all-time against Coastal Carolina, with seven of the nine wins coming in Chapel Hill. The two teams have met each of the last two years, with Carolina winning 94-52 in 2004 and 98-41 in 2005.
ST. JOHN'S SERIES NOTES
North Carolina is 4-0 all-time against St. John's.
The last meeting in the series came in 1998, with Carolina wining 77-67 at the Rainbow Wahine Classic in Honolulu.
CAROLINA IN MYRTLE BEACH
UNC has played at least one game in Myrtle Beach, S.C., every year since 1994. The Tar Heels also plaed games in Conway, S.C., in 1990 and 1992.
Carolina has an all-time record of 14-4 in Myrtle Beach that includes wins in each of the last four seasons.
