NBA Update: Week 17

Former Tar Heel Raymond Felton scored a career-high 31 points against the Phoenix Suns in week 17 of the NBA season. Felton knocked down four three-pointers and shot 13 for 21 from the floor to lead his team in scoring.
Antawn Jamison also scored a season-high of 35 points for the Washington Wizards against the Memphis Grizzlies. In addition, he recorded his 27th double-double of the season and now ranks seventh among all NBA players in the category.
Week 17 Update on Former Tar Heels in the NBA:
Vince Carter, New Jersey Nets - Started at guard in all five games. He scored 45 points and grabbed nine rebounds in the Nets' 89-85 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks. Carter injured his hamstring in the first quarter of a game against Indiana Pacers on February 26, sidelining him for three quarters in the Nets' 91-101 loss. However, he bounced back and played 44 minutes the following night against the Atlanta Hawks, posting 22 points and five rebounds. The Nets return to action on Wednesday night when they travel to Minnesota to face the Timberwolves.
Raymond Felton, Charlotte Bobcats - Started at guard in all four games. He scored a career-high 31 points against the Phoenix Suns. Felton also recorded two double-doubles in week 17 with 10 points and 10 assists aganst the Portland Trail Blazers and 14 points and 11 assists against the Denver Nuggets. The Bobcats return to action Wednesday night against the Utah Jazz.
Brendan Haywood, Washington Wizards - Started at center in all four games. He scored nine points and grabbed nine rebounds in the Wizards' 90-78 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves. Haywood also blocked a game-high four shots in the Wizards' 110-89 victory over the New York Knicks. The Wizards return to action Wednesday night against the Indiana Pacers. Fans can also catch the Wizards in action on ESPN at 7:30 pm (EST) on Friday night against the Philadelphia 76ers.
Antawn Jamison, Washington Wizards - Started at forward in all four games. He scored a season-high 35 points against the Memphis Grizzles. Jamison also recorded his 27th double-double of the season with 25 points and 12 rebounds in the Wizards' 102-94 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Wizards return to action Wednesday night against the Indiana Pacers. Fans can also catch the Wizards in action on ESPN at 7:30 pm (EST) on Friday night against the Philadelphia 76ers.
Sean May, Charlotte Bobcats - Missed week 17 due to knee injury. He underwent arthroscopic surgery on his right knee on January 19. The Bobcats return to action Wednesday night against the Utah Jazz.
Rashad McCants, Minnesota Timberwolves - Played guard in all three games. He scored 12 points, handed out two assists, and made two blocks in the Timberwolves' 105-99 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies. The Timberwolves return to action Wednesday night against the New Jersey Nets.
Jeff McInnis, New Jersey Nets - Missed week 17 due to knee injury. He underwent arthroscopic surgery on January 19 to remove torn cartilage. McInnis suffered the injury in the Nets' game against the Dallas Mavericks on January 14. The Nets return to action Wednesday night against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Jerry Stackhouse, Dallas Mavericks - Started in one game at forward and played in all four games. He scored 22 points and dished out eight assists in his start against the Toronto Raptors. Stackhouse also went 12-12 from the free-throw line against the Raptors, improving his free-throw percentage to .894, which ranks fifth overall in the NBA. The Mavericks return to action on Thursday against the San Antonio Spurs. Coverage begins on TNT at 9:30 pm (EST).
Rasheed Wallace, Detroit Pistons - Started at forward in all five games. He scored 28 points in the Pistons' 88-83 victory over the Indiana Pacers. Wallace also recorded a double-double with 21 points and 12 rebounds against the Atlanta Hawks. The Pistons return to action on Wednesday against the Denver Nuggets.
Marvin Williams, Atlanta Hawks - Played forward in all five games. He scored 17 points and grabbed five rebounds against the Seattle SuperSonics. Williams also scored nine points, had two steals, one block, and five rebounds in the Hawks' 117-112 victory over the Indiana Pacers. The Hawks return to action on Wednesday against the Toronto Raptors.
