NBA Update: Week 14

Vince Carter recorded his first triple-double of the season against the Miami Heat. He scored 28 points, grabbed 13 rebounds, and handed out 10 assists in the Nets' 105-92 victory. Carter is one of 12 players to record a triple-double this season and ranks 13th in the NBA in scoring with an average of 24.1 points per game.
Raymond Felton averaged eight assists and 20 points for the Charlotte Bobcats during week 14. He scored a career-high 24 in a win over the Seattle SuperSonics. He also helped the Bobcats break a 13-game losing streak with a victory over the Los Angeles Lakers on February 3. Felton currently ranks in the top three among all rookies in steals and assists.
Update on Former Tar Heels in the NBA:
Vince Carter, New Jersey Nets - Started at guard in all four games. Recorded his first triple-double of the season. Carter scored 28 points, grabbed 13 rebounds and dished out 10 assists in the Nets' 105-92 victory over the Miami Heat. He also dropped 29 points against the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Nets return to action on Wednesday against the New York Knicks.
Raymond Felton, Charlotte Bobcats - Started at guard in all three games. He scored a career-high 24 points in the Bobcats' 119-106 victory over the Seattle SuperSonics. In the same game Felton flirted with a double-double by dishing out nine assists. He also scored 20 points against the Atlanta Hawks. The Bobcats return to action on Wednesday when they host the Philadelphia 76ers. The game can be seen locally on News 14 Carolina.
Brendan Haywood, Washington Wizards - Started at center in all four games. He scored 11 points and grabbed nine rebounds in the Wizards' 84-79 victory over the Indiana Pacers. The Wizards return to action on Wednesday against the Golden State Warriors.
Antawn Jamison, Washington Wizards - Started at forward in all four games. He continued his double-double tear, adding three in week 14 to take his season-total to 24. Jamison scored 27 points and grabbed 15 rebounds in the Wizards' 98-85 victory over the Atlanta Hawks. He now averages a double-double per game with a season averages of 19.3 points per game and 10 rebounds per game. The Wizards return to action against the Golden State Warriors on Wednesday. The team will also play in a nationally televised game against the Philadelphia 76ers on Sunday at 1:00 pm aired by ABC.
Sean May, Charlotte Bobcats - Missed week 14 due to knee injury. He underwent arthroscopic surgery on his right knee on January 19.
Rashad McCants, Minnesota Timberwolves - Played guard in all four games. He played a season-high 29 minutes and scored 14 points in the Timberwolves' 103-101 victory over the Phoenix Suns. McCants also recorded a season-high 2 blocks against the Golden State Warriors. The Timberwolves return to action when they host the Cleveland Cavaliers on Wednesday.
Jeff McInnis, New Jersey Nets - Missed week 14 due to knee injury. He underwent arthroscopic surgery on January 19 to remove torn cartilage. McInnis suffered the injury in the Nets' game against the Dallas Mavericks on January 14.
Jerry Stackhouse, Dallas Mavericks - Played forward in all three games. He scored 17 points and dished out a season-high seven assists in the Mavericks' 110-91 victory over the Seattle SuperSonics. Stackhouse currently ranks 16th in the NBA in free throw percentage. The Mavericks rank first in the Western Conference and will look to extend the league's longest winning streak to 12 games when they face the Los Angeles Lakers tonight.
Rasheed Wallace, Detroit Pistons - Started at forward in all four games. He scored 20 points and grabbed seven rebounds in the Pistons' victory over the Philadelphia 76ers. He also recorded a season-high five blocks against the Indiana Pacers. Wallace ranks 10th in the NBA in three-point field goals made. The Pistons return to action tonight against the Atlanta Hawks.
Marvin Williams, Atlanta Hawks - Played forward in two games. He scored nine points and grabbed six rebounds against the Washington Wizards. The Hawks return to action tonight against the Detroit Pistons.
