CHAPEL HILL --- North Carolina (21-0) concludes a three-game homestand Sunday when the Tar Heels host NC State at 2 p.m. at Carmichael Auditorium. Carolina has won 21 straight to open the season for the second year in a row after defeating Georgia Tech 78-31 on Thursday night. The Tar Heels are ranked No. 2 in the nation in both polls for the 11th straight week. NC State is 13-6 after falling to Duke 65-51 on Thursday.

NC STATE SERIES NOTES
North Carolina is 33-48 all-time against NC State, including an 18-16 mark in Chapel Hill.
The Tar Heels won all three meetings last year - 65-53 in Raleigh, 75-58 in Chapel Hill and 90-69 in the ACC Tournament.
NC State's last win in the series came during the 2003-04 season, when the Wolfpack won 62-54 in Chapel Hill.
UNC has won six straight in the series, its longest such streak. NC State won 19 in a row from 1976-1981.
Of teams with at least 10 all-time meetings with UNC, only NC State (48-33), Old Dominion (12-7) and Tennessee (12-3) have winning records.
SCOUTING THE WOLFPACK
NC State is led in scoring by Khadijah Whittington (10.8 ppg) and Shayla Fields (10.7 ppg).
Whittington is also NC State's leading rebounder, with 10.3 boards per game.
Carolina and NC State have no common opponents thus far.
Associate head coach Stephanie Glance has acted as interim head coach in the Wolfpack's last 15 games while head coach Kay Yow undergoes treatment for cancer.
