Hansbrough Named ACC Player Of The Week

GREENSBORO, N.C. - Junior forward Tyler Hansbrough was named the Atlantic Coast Conference Player of the Week on Nov. 26 after leading Carolina to three wins last week.
In earning the Player of the Week award for the first time this season, Hansbrough averaged 24.7 points and 7.3 rebounds per game, shot 60.5 percent from the field and made 28 of 33 from the free throw line (84.8 percent) as the top-ranked Tar Heels won three games.
The Poplar Bluff, Mo., junior opened the week with a 26-point, eight-rebound performance in a 110-64 win over South Carolina State. Named the MVP of the Las Vegas Invitational, Hansbrough had 27 points and six rebounds in Friday's 99-82 win over Old Dominion and 21 points and eight rebounds in a title-clinching 73-63 victory over BYU Saturday.
