No. 3 Tar Heels Travel To Coastal Carolina Monday

North Carolina (10-1) will play just its second road game of the season when the Tar Heels visit Conway, S.C., to face Coastal Carolina Monday at 7 p.m. Carolina is coming off 102-42 win over Wofford in Chapel Hill on Dec. 9. Coastal enters Monday's matchup with a record of 7-2 after a 56-48 loss at Jacksonville on Dec. 8. UNC is ranked No. 3 in both the AP poll the ESPN/USA Today coaches' poll. Coastal Carolina is unranked.

COASTAL CAROLINA SERIES NOTES
North Carolina is 10-0 all-time against Coastal Carolina.
Monday's game marks the fourth consecutive season in which the two teams have met. Carolina won back-to-back home games in 2004 and 2005, while the Tar Heels triumphed, 87-48, in Myrtle Beach in 2006.
UNC has not played a true road game against Coastal Carolina since 1992, when the Tar Heels won 83-35. The only other games in the series not played in Chapel Hill have been at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center.
CAROLINA AT THE BEACH
Carolina has played at least one game in the Myrtle Beach/Conway area every year since 1994.
The Tar Heels have an all-time record of 18-4 in Myrtle Beach/Conway that includes wins in each of the last five seasons.
Last season, UNC scored a pair of wins at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center. The Tar Heels defeated Coastal Carolina, 87-48, and St. John's, 87-43.
NOTING THE CHANTICLEERS

The Chants opened the season with seven straight wins for just the second time in school history.
Coastal is led in scoring by sophomore Lacey Lyons, who is averaging 12.6 points per game.
Senior guard Vicky Blanchard leads the Chants with 7.0 rebounds per contest.
Coastal is led by 11th-year head coach Alan LeForce. LeForce, the winningest coach in school history, is the only coach in Division I history to win at least 100 games as both a men's coach and a women's coach.
