RALEIGH, N.C. --- North Carolina (25-1) makes its annual trip to the state capital when the Tar Heels travel to Raleigh to face NC State Friday night at 7 p.m. Carolina is coming off an 80-59 win at Florida State on Monday. The Tar Heels are ranked No. 2 in the nation in both polls for the 15th straight week. NC State is 18-8 after a 69-62 loss at Georgia Tech on Sunday afternoon. The Wolfpack is unranked.

NC STATE SERIES NOTES
North Carolina is 34-48 all-time against NC State, including a 9-25 mark in Raleigh. UNC has, however, won five in a row at Reynolds Coliseum.
NC State's last win in the series came during the 2003-04 season, when the Wolfpack won 62-54 in Chapel Hill.
UNC has won seven straight in the series, its longest such streak. NC State won 19 in a row from 1976-1981.
Of teams with at least 10 all-time meetings with UNC, only NC State (48-34), Old Dominion (12-7) and Tennessee (12-3) have winning records.

CHAPEL HILL (AP) --- Ivory Latta scored 20 points and made six 3-pointers to lead No. 2 North Carolina past North Carolina State 86-65. Camille Little had 19 points for the Tar Heels, who remained one of the nation's last unbeaten teams - along with top-ranked Duke.
SCOUTING NC STATE
NC State is led in scoring by Shayla Fields (10.1 ppg) and Khadijah Whittington (10.0).
Whittington is also NC State's leading rebounder, with 10.4 boards per game.
The Wolfpack is 5-1 since head coach Kay Yow returned to the bench.
