BALTIMORE, MD. - Karin Brower of the University of Pennsylvania and John Haus of the University of North Carolina have been selected as the US Lacrosse Coaches of the Week for the week ending April 1. Both will be recognized on CSTV's lacrosse broadcast this weekend.
Brower and Penn rolled past 12th-ranked Johns Hopkins 12-4 on Wednesday night and then beat Columbia 14-6 on Saturday to remain unbeaten in the Ivy League. Penn, ranked 14th last week, is off to an 8-1 start this season and has trips to Penn State and Harvard this week.
Haus and North Carolina jumped back into the thick of the NCAA tournament picture with a 13-10 victory over Johns Hopkins last week. It was Carolina's first victory over the Blue Jays since 1994, ending a string of 13 straight defeats. UNC rose to No. 10 in the polls this week and plays at No. 3 Virginia on Saturday.
