The North Carolina softball team heads to Tallahassee, Fla., this week for the Atlantic Coast Softball Championships, which start Thursday and continue through the weekend at Florida State's JoAnne Graf Field.
UNC (43-17, 11-9 ACC) enters the tournament as the No. 5 seed and will face No. 4 Florida State on Thursday, May 10, at 5:30 p.m. FSU and Carolina played a three-game series to cap the regular season for the Tar Heels, with the Seminoles claiming two of the three games.
The winner of Carolina-Florida State will meet the winner of No. 1 Virginia Tech and No. 8 Virginia in the second round. On the other side of the bracket, No. 2 NC State will face No. 7 Boston College, while No. 3 Georgia Tech takes on No. 6 Maryland.
