NFL Rosters Set

Saturday was cut day for NFL teams who had to get down to the maximum roster size of 53 players. NFL teams may still sign players to their eight-man practice squads. Unfortunately, several former Tar Heels were trimmed from the league, including LB Victor Worsley (Indianapolis), Jesse Holley (Cincinnati), Zach Hilton (San Francisco), Larry Edwards (St. Louis), Tommy Davis (New York Giants) and Jonas Seawright (New York Giants). Seawright was entering his third year with the Giants. Cornerback Michael Waddell, who missed all of last season with a knee injury, was cut on August 28.
