Early Arrivals Eager For Late Night
October 24, 2008 | Men's Basketball

A boisterous crowd joined Jones Angell and Adam Lucas out front of Entrance A at the Smith Center for Friday's production of Tar Heel Tip-Off, the 90-minute basketball season preview show (the show is now archived in the video player on the front page of TarHeelBlue.com). Chief among those fans were the groups that claimed the title of first in line for this year's Late Night festivities.
A trio of Tar Heels put down stakes at 7:30 a.m., over eight hours before the doors opened at 4 p.m. Randy Williams, Daniel Shirley, and Derrick Bogan made the trip from Sanford and fortified themselves with snack-size Snickers bars. Right behind them were sisters Morgan and Allison McGee from Durham, and then Emily Favret of Hagerstown, Md. Emily watched online last year from Italy--you can do the same thing with tonight's Late Night broadcast, which begins at 7:30 and is available through UNC All-Access.
