SANTA BARBARA, CALIF. - The Tar Heel men's basketball team arrived in Santa Barbara late on Wednesday night in preparation for tonight's game against the Gauchos at UCSB's Thunderdome. The game will be televised nationally on ESPNU.

While the trip has been mostly about business, including practice, study halls and scouting reports, the team has had some time to enjoy the West Coast a bit as well. The Tar Heels are seen here posing above the Pacific Ocean on Friday afternoon prior to departing for their pregame shootaround.

After Friday night's game, the Carolina traveling party will bus to Los Angeles and fly to Maui early on Saturday morning for next week's Maui Invitational. The Tar Heels will open play in Maui against Chaminade on Monday at 9:30 p.m. Eastern Time (4:30 p.m. in Hawaii).
