ATLANTA --- North Carolina (21-2, 8-0 Atlantic Coast Conference) heads back to the road for its third away game in ten days when the Tar Heels face Georgia Tech Sunday afternoon at 12:30 in Atlanta. Carolina is coming off a 79-47 win over Clemson on Thursday. Georgia Tech enters the contest with a record of 18-5 (5-4 ACC) after a last-second 54-52 loss at Miami on Thursday. UNC is ranked No. 3 in both the AP poll and the ESPN/USA Today coaches' poll. Georgia Tech is unranked, but is receiving votes in both polls.

GEORGIA TECH SERIES NOTES
North Carolina is 48-11 all-time against Georgia Tech, including a 20-6 mark in Atlanta.
The Tar Heels defeated the Yellow Jackets earlier in the season in Chapel Hill, 99-78.
UNC has won 11 straight games in the series, dating back to an 81-62 home loss in 2002.
The 11 game winning streak marks the third time in the series that the Tar Heels have won at least 10 in a row. Carolina won 17 straight from 1980-88 and 13 straight from 1993-99.
Carolina has more wins over Georgia Tech than any other ACC opponent except for Wake Forest (54-12).
NOTING THE YELLOW JACKETS
Georgia Tech is 18-5 on the season (5-4 in the ACC) after falling at Miami, 54-52, on Thursday.
Senior forward Janie Mitchell leads the Yellow Jackets in scoring (17.3 points per game) and rebounding (6.5 rpg). Senior guard Chioma Nnamaka (15.9 ppg) and freshman guard Alex Montgomery (11.0 ppg) also score in double figures.
STREAKS
Carolina has won 12 of its last 13 and has opened the season with eight straight conference wins.
Georgia Tech has lost three of its last five since starting the season 16-2. The Yellow Jackets' loss to Duke on Jan. 24 ended a 10-game home winning streak to open 2007-08.
