Tar Heels Add Defensive Tackle Jordan Nix

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - The University of North Carolina has signed defensive tackle Jordan Nix, head coach Butch Davis announced Sunday.
The 6-foot-4, 290-pound Nix played last season at Northeast Oklahoma A&M College. He will enroll at UNC this fall but will sit out the 2008 season due to NCAA transfer rules. He will have three years of eligibility remaining.
Nix, who graduated from MacArthur High School in Lawton, Okla., in 2007, originally signed with the University of Oklahoma and attended OU from June-August 2007.
