NFL Hall of Famer Lawrence Taylor Returns For FSU Game

Lawrence Taylor, considered by many observers the best defensive football player in the history of the game, will return to Chapel Hill for Thursday night's game vs. Florida State. He will be with the team on the sidelines at the stadium where he first earned a reputation as one of the game's most dominant players.
Taylor, who spoke to the team Wednesday evening, was a first-team All-America at UNC in 1980 and helped lead the Tar Heels to the ACC title. He was selected with the No. 2 overall pick in the 1981 NFL Draft and quickly became one of the league's top players. In 13 seasons with the Giants, Taylor won two Super Bowls, was a 10-time Pro Bowler and was named the 1986 league MVP. He was inducted into the NFL Hall of Fame in 1999.
Following his football career, Taylor has appeared in several movies and television shows, including Any Given Sunday, The Waterboy and The Sopranos. Last year, he was a contestant on Dancing With The Stars.
