Having your jersey raised in lasting tribute high above the Dean Smith Center floor is the ultimate honor for a North Carolina basketball player. Now, Tar Heel fans can celebrate the storied careers of the greatest players in UNC history in Jerseys in the Rafters2, which hit the streets on December 1st.
This comprehensive, award-winning DVD was originally released in 2001 but has been newly updated this fall to highlight seven additional players who have qualified for the rafters since the initial release eight years ago.
In "Jerseys2", UNC fans take an emotional journey through the decades with incredible archival footage of retired and honored players Michael Jordan, Phil Ford, James Worthy, Vince Carter, Antawn Jamison and many more. They'll also hear behind-the-scenes tales from the players themselves, their teammates and coaches, including Dean Smith, who coached the majority of the players "in the rafters" and Roy Williams, who has coached six players who have qualified for UNC's legendary rafters in the last five years.
The DVD includes segments on every UNC player whose jersey hangs in the rafters - from 1926 National Player of the Year Jack Cobb to the most recent class, which includes 2008 National Player of the Year Tyler Hansbrough. The DVD also includes about an hour of newly updated bonus material, including:
