• White's 26-yard scoring run was the longest TD run by a Tar Heel this year.
• North Carolina scored a touchdown on its first possession of the game, a 4-yard scoring run by White. It marked the second time UNC has scored on its first possession (FG vs. Georgia Tech) and the team's first opening-drive touchdown of the season.

• Safety Deunta Williams made his first appearance of the season after serving a four-game suspension and finished with five tackles (one for a loss) and a forced fumble.
• Place kicker Casey Barth converted all three extra points in the game, giving him 50 consecutive made PATs.
• Wide receiver Jheranie Boyd had a 9-yard touchdown reception late in the second quarter, his third score of the season (all receiving).
• Linebacker Zach Brown had his best game as a Tar Heel, finishing with a career-best 14 tackles, including 10 solo stops.
