No. 14 Tar Heels Host Coastal Carolina Friday

CHAPEL HILL --- North Carolina continues its four-game season-opening homestand Friday when the Tar Heels host Coastal Carolina at 8 p.m. at Carmichael Arena. Carolina is 2-0 on the season after a 76-47 win over Robert Morris on Wednesday. Coastal Carolina is 2-0 on the year with wins over Southern Virginia and College of Charleston. UNC is ranked No. 14 in the latest AP poll and No. 16 in the coaches' poll. Coastal Carolina is unranked.

COASTAL CAROLINA SERIES HISTORY
• North Carolina is 13-0 all-time against Coastal Carolina.
• Friday night's game marks the seventh consecutive season in which the two teams have met. Carolina won back-to-back home games in 2004 and 2005, while the Tar Heels triumphed, 87-48, in Myrtle Beach in 2006, and 82-58 in Conway in 2007. Coastal will be back in Chapel Hill for the third straight season Friday - UNC won 95-44 in 2008 and 81-41 in 2009.
