Carolina Announces Fall Softball Slate

CHAPEL HILL, N.C -- North Carolina softball will four fall games in 2010 all at home at Anderson Stadium. The Tar Heels open their fall season Friday, October 1 against UNC Greensboro. The Tar Heels will also challenge East Carolina Wednesday, October 6 and Sunday, October 10 against UNC Wilmington. UNC will host UNC Greensboro for a twinbill October 1.
"We are playing a limited fall schedule this year," said head coach Donna J. Papa. "I do like to play so that our freshman can get comfortable at this level as well as challenging our team against an opponent other than us seeing each other day in and day out. It helps us measure our progress throughout the weeks that we are in team practice."
2010 Fall Softball Schedule
- Friday, Oct. 1 - UNC Greensboro - 5 & 7 pm
- Wednesday, Oct. 6 - East Carolina - 7:30 pm
- Sunday, Oct. 10 - UNC Wilmington - 3 pm
All games played at Anderson Stadium.
