CHAPEL HILL - Freshman guard Reggie Bullock answered fan questions submitted to UNC Athletics via Facebook and Twitter recently. Below is a transcript of Bullock's chat with Tar Heel fans.
Brian Glynn - What do you love most about Carolina?
Reggie Bullock: Probably the people around here, the colors, the tradition that they have for basketball.
Robbie Thompson - What's the best part about being a Tar Heel basketball player?
The brotherhood with all of the other players that graduated from here or left to go to the NBA. The brotherhood that they bring with them when they come back.
Hayden Harrington - What's up with the dip snap thing?
It's a respect sign that Blue Steel came up with. Blue Steel is a group a 6 members that go extra hard in practice that always try and attack us and just make us better in practice. I love them like brothers.
Daniel Bullis - Reggie, from a sneakerhead, if you could wear any kind of kicks on the court what would they be?
RB: Jordan Hyperdunks, if they had them. I'd wear them all the time on the court.
Andrew Snyder - Who do you think will win the Super Bowl?
RB: Green Bay, just because they're the underdogs.
Johnny Quick - What is your favorite Carolina tradition?
RB: How excited people get for you when you score. It's not necessarily a tradition, but I love it.
Robbie Pittman - As a fellow Lenoir county native, I want to know if you still get advice from Coach Gullege from KHS?
RB: Yes, I get advice from him; he's like a dad figure in my life. I talk to him every day.
Jonathan Barnes - Why did you choose the number 35?
RB: Because Kevin Durant is my favorite player.
Alexa Lewandowski - I have two questions. With Valentine's Day quickly approaching, I was wondering if you would be my valentine?! Secondly, do you have any unique pregrame rituals? Good luck against FSU!!
RB: (Laughter) I actually have a valentine already. I just pray for every game. I try and go out and perform for my grandmother.
Will Ballard - Reggie, What is the key to being a good outside shooter?
RB: Basically just knowing angles and knowing the difference between a good and bad shot.
@gigglebox25 - What has been the biggest adjustment you've had to make since arriving in Chapel Hill? #TarHeelTalk
RB: To defend the ball better and play as a team player. That's the main thing.
Matthew Holland - What former UNC player do you feel like you most resemble?
RB: Probably Rashad McCants or Reyshawn Terry, I like how they score the ball, how they defend and how they were leaders of their team.
Grace Nanney - Who do you look up to most on the team this year?
RB: We're all young so we look up to each other. But if I would look up to anybody it would probably be Z [Tyler Zeller].
Ana Mercedes - What do you feel are your best attributes which helps the team?
RB: Defending the ball, rebounding, just bringing energy to the court every time I step on, and knocking down shots. Just being an all-around team player.
Michael Carlos - What aspect of your game have you improved the most? What do you feel you need to work on? What player has helped you the most to improve your game?
RB: Mid-range shooting and adding more weight to my body also defending the ball better than I did in high school. I need to continue to become a better defensive player and continue to listen to what Coach Williams tells me to make me a better player. Harrison, just having to guard him every day in practice. It gets a little tough, but guarding him makes me a better player.
