The University of North Carolina gymnastics team competes in their last meet of the season on Sunday, March 13, at Maryland. The Tar Heels will face EAGL opponents George Washington and host-team Maryland, as well as visiting Kentucky.
The Tar Heels have seemingly turned the corner in their season, scoring a 194 or higher team total in their last three meets.
The team faced both Maryland and George Washington already this season, losing at home by a narrow .4 margin against the Terrapins but took home a victory at the George Washington Invitational in the first meet of the season.
Maryland is 4-0 while George Washington is 1-5 in conference. The Tar Heels are 11-4 overall and 2-3 in the EAGL.
The multi-team meet will begin at 2 p.m. on Sunday. The following weekend the Tar Heels will travel to Washington, D.C. to defend their EAGL Championship.
