Seabrooks Named Second-Team All-America

PITTSBURGH, Pa. – The Women's Collegiate Gymnastics Association announced the 2026 Regular Season All-America gymnasts Monday afternoon. Sydney Seabrooks earned the prestigious honor of Second Team All-America on floor after finishing the season ranked no. 9 on the event with an NQS of 9.940.

Seabrooks has continued to have a standout freshman season for the Tar Heels. The Clearwater, Fla. native was tabbed All-ACC on floor after winning two weekly awards from the league this season.Â

The freshman has ranked among the nation's best on floor since the first meet of the season. Seabrooks was crowned floor champion with a score of 9.950 at the Florida Quad to open the season. Since then, she has recorded a 9.900 or higher nine times and a score of 9.925 or higher seven times this year on floor. Seabrooks spent seven weeks ranked in the top five in the nation on the event.Â

In addition to her floor performances, the freshman became a consistent all-around competitor for Carolina. Seabrooks recorded a career-high, team-high of the season, and sixth-best all-round score in program history (39.525) at NC State. Her all-around single meet score was the third-best score on the event across the ACC this season.Â

Regular Season All-America Qualifications
First Team All-America is awarded to the top eight finishers, plus ties, of the regular season for all four events plus the all-around. Second Team All-America is awarded to the ninth through sixteenth place finishers, plus ties, on all four events plus the all-around of the regular season.
