NBA Update - March 22

Raymond Felton, Denver Nuggets- The starting point guard missed Saturday's game due to an ankle injury and did not play Monday, but expects to play in the Nuggets' next game on Wednesday against San Antonio. He recorded a double-double last Monday against New Orleans, scoring 22 points to go along with 12 rebounds. Denver will play in a nationally televised game on Wednesday against San Antonio at 10:30 on ESPN.
Marvin Williams, Atlanta Hawks- In four games this past week, the starting small forward averaged 13.5 points and 3.5 rebounds.
Vince Carter, Phoenix Suns- The starting shooting guard had back-to-back 21 point performances against Houston and New Orleans this past week. Phoenix will play in a nationally televised game on Tuesday at the Los Angeles Lakers at 10:30 on TNT. Phoenix will also play in a nationally televised game on Sunday against Dallas at 10:30 on ESPN.
Tyler Hansbrough, Indiana Pacers- Similar to his college days at North Carolina, the starting power forward had been very productive in the month of March, averaging 19.7 points and 7.7 rebounds. He had a career-high 29 points on Sunday in a win against New York, and then recorded a new career high of 30 points in his next game against the same team. He also recorded two double-doubles this week with a 10 point, 11 rebound performance against Boston, and a 29 point, 12 rebound performance against Chicago.
Ty Lawson, Denver Nuggets- With fellow Tar Heel point guard Raymond Felton out due to an ankle injury, the back-up point guard played 44 minutes Saturday at Miami, recording 16 points, seven rebounds, six assists, and two steals.
Wayne Ellington, Minnesota Timberwolves- The backup shooting guard averaged 6.3 points in three games this past week.
Antawn Jamison, Cleveland Cavaliers- Jamison will be out five to seven weeks after having surgery on his fractured left little finger.
Brendan Haywood, Dallas Mavericks- The back-up center has seen very inconsistent playing time as of late. He saw action in just one game out of four this past week. In that one game, he had two points and three rebounds in 19 minutes. Dallas will play in a nationally televised game on Sunday at Phoenix at 10:30 on ESPN.
Brandan Wright, New Jersey Nets- The power forward had two points and four rebounds in nine minutes in a losing effort on Monday against Indiana.
Ed Davis, Toronto Raptors- The back-up power forward averaged just less than two points and 4.25 rebounds in four games this past week.
Danny Green, San Antonio Spurs- The Spurs have signed Green for the remainder of the 2010-2011 season. During a short stint in the NBA Developmental League with the Reno Bighorns, Green averaged 18.9 points per game. San Antonio will play in a nationally televised game on Wednesday at Denver at 10:30 on ESPN.
