Tar Heels in the NBA Playoffs:
Raymond Felton, Denver Nuggets-
The Denver Nuggets were eliminated by the Oklahoma City Thunder four games to one in the first round of the Western Conference Playoffs. The point guard averaged 11.6 points and 4.2 assists in those five games.
Ty Lawson, Denver Nuggets-
The Denver Nuggets were eliminated by the Oklahoma City Thunder four games to one in the first round of the Western Conference Playoffs. The starting point guard averaged 15.6 points, 3.8 assists, and 3.4 rebounds in those five games. Most notably was his 27 point performance in the Nuggets' only win of the series last Monday.
Marvin Williams, Atlanta Hawks-
The Atlanta Hawks defeated the Orlando Magic four games to two in the first round of the Eastern Conference Playoffs. The small forward averaged six points and 2.5 rebounds in those six games. The Hawks will face off against the Chicago Bulls in a best of seven game series in the second round of the playoffs, with the winner advancing to the Eastern Conference Finals. Game one is Monday night at Chicago 8:00 p.m. on TNT. Game two is scheduled for Wednesday night at Chicago at 8:00 p.m. on TNT, game three for Friday night at 7:00 p.m. on ESPN, and game four for Sunday night at 8:00 p.m. on TNT.
Tyler Hansbrough, Indiana Pacers-
The Indiana Pacers were eliminated by the Chicago Bulls four games to one in the first round of the Eastern Conference Playoffs. The starting power forward averaged 11.2 points and 7.4 rebounds in those five games and in game five had a double-double, recording 14 points and 11 rebounds.
Brendan Haywood, Dallas Mavericks-
The Dallas Mavericks defeated the Portland Trail Blazers four games to two in the first round of the Eastern Conference Playoffs. The backup center averaged 2.5 points and 5.2 rebounds in those six games. The Mavericks will face off against the Los Angeles Lakers in the second round of the playoffs, with the winner advancing to the Western Conference Finals. Game one is Monday night at Los Angeles at 10:30 p.m. on TNT. Game two is scheduled for Wednesday night at 10:30 p.m. at Los Angeles on TNT, game three for Friday night at 9:30 p.m. on ESPN, and game four for Sunday at 3:30 p.m. on ABC.
Danny Green, San Antonio Spurs-
The San Antonio Spurs were eliminated by the Memphis Grizzlies four games to two in the first round of the Western Conference Playoffs. The small forward appeared in just two games in the series, scoring two points in a losing effort last Monday and three points on Friday, also in a losing effort.
