January Camp Registration Now Open

Chapel Hill, N.C. - Reigstration for four UNC softball camps on Jan. 20 is now open. Carolina will host a pitching, catching and defense camp from 9:30am- 12pm, and a hitting camp that afternoon from 1:30pm- 4pm. Cost is $80 per session.
Preparing to Pitch this Season (9:30AM-12PM) $80
(Clinic will be held at Eddie Smith Field House, but check-in will still be at Anderson Stadium.)
Pitchers will be divided into 2 groups: Beginner (two years or less) and Experienced (three years or more). Beginner Pitchers will learn the fundamentals of pitching to improve fast ball accuracy and speed, as well as learn a change up. Experienced Pitchers will learn drills to improve fast ball velocity, as well as learn and/or improve movement pitches for curve, screw, rise, drop, change, etc.
All pitchers will learn techniques for improving their mental game, as well as be given the opportunity to throw full pitching distance to catchers throughout the camp.
Becoming a Solid Catcher (9:30AM-12PM) $80
(Clinic session will be held at Eddie Smith Field House, but check-in will still be at Anderson Stadium.)
Catchers will learn drills to improve: throwing for picks/steals, blocking, framing, bunt defense, etc. Catchers will also learn the fundamentals of being a solid catcher: situational play, pitch calling, etc. All catchers will be given the opportunity to catch pitchers at full distance.
Defensive Fundamentals for the Next Level (9:30AM-12PM) $80
Improve your throwing, glove work, and footwork at your infield or outfield position with specific drills to make you faster and smoother. Infielders and outfielders will learn the fundamental footwork and glove skills to take your game to the next level (pitching and catching will NOT be covered). The session will start with a throwing progression and then we will split into Infield and Outfield specifics.
Building the Foundation of a Next Level Hitter (1:30PM-4PM) $80
Improve your offensive potential by learning and implementing the fundamental, explosive movements that are essential to a successful swing. This clinic will focus on the skills and drills to help you build a strong foundation as a hitter. Come work alongside the Tar Heels as they take you through a hitting progression and series of drills that will give you the tools to be a tough out!
Notes:
- Confirmation and directions will be sent via email.
- Clinics are open to 10-18 year old girls.
- Lunch is NOT PROVIDED.
- Players are encouraged to bring their own equipment.
- Participants will be grouped by age and skill level.
- Space is limited! Register as soon as possible!
