CHAPEL HILL, N.C.-- The University of North Carolina Softball Team will host a FREE Defensive Skills Clinic Thursday, Feb. 23. It is open to any athletes in grades 1-12. The Tar Heels invite you to watch their open practice from 3-5:30 p.m., attend the clinic, and stay for a Meet The Heels poster signing session after. All campers should wear athletic clothes, sneakers or molded cleats and bring a fielder's glove.
No. 25 UNC will host its home opener against Wednesday, Feb. 22, with a doubleheader against Longwood at Anderson Stadium. The Tar Heels will also host the 2012 Carolina Classic this weekend, Feb. 24-26. The tournament field will include James Madison, Minnesota, Notre Dame and Penn State.
