GoHeels.com is highlighting each Carolina softball player throughout the 2013 season. Today's Tar Heel spotlight is with redshirt freshman Jenna Kelly, a first baseman from Santa Clarita, Calif.
GoHeels.com:What is your best memory of your softball career so far?
Jenna Kelly: My best memory is winning back to back national championships with my travel ball team, So Cal Athletics.
GH: How did you get started playing softball?
JK: My father got me playing softball when I was five years old, and I have been playing ever since.
GH: Why Carolina?
JK: The opportunity for a great education and great athletic program.
GH: Favorite class this semester, and why?
JK: My favorite class this semester is my chemistry lab. My favorite subject is chemistry and I have the best lab partner ever!
GH: What is your dream profession?
JK: Orthodontist
JK: My favorite meal before a game is a tuna sandwich from Subway.
GH: What is your walk-up song?
JK: "She's So California" by Gary Allan and "Days Like These" by Jason Aldean, basically anything country!
GH: If you played another sport, what would it be?
JK: If I played another sport I would want to play soccer.
