• North Carolina and Delaware have never met in women's basketball.
CAROLINA IN THE NCAA TOURNAMENT
• UNC is in the tournament as a No. 3 seed for the fifth time in school history and the first since 2009.
• Carolina won the 1994 NCAA title as a No. 3 seed, defeating the top two seeds in the East Region before advancing to the program's first Final Four.
• Following Sunday's win, UNC now has an all-time NCAA record of 42-22 in 24 overall appearances.
• Carolina is 14-5 all-time in the second round of the NCAA tournament. The Tar Heels defeated Kentucky, 86-74, in the 2011 second round in Albuquerque, N.M.
• Carolina is 40-18 in NCAA Championship play in 20 appearances under Sylvia Hatchell.
• Carolina is now 17-4 all-time in NCAA first round games, with its last loss coming to Gonzaga in 2010.
• The Tar Heels are now 24-21 all-time in NCAA Championship games played away from Chapel Hill.
• Tuesday will be Carolina's fourth NCAA game on a lower-seeded opponent's home floor. The No. 3 Tar Heels lost to sixth-seeded Colorado in Boulder, 86-67, in 2003, No. 1 Carolina beat eighth-seeded Vanderbilt in Nashville, 89-70, in 2006, and top-seeded UNC defeated No. 5 Arizona State in Tempe, 79-72, in 2005. No. 1 Carolina also lost to second-seeded LSU in New Orleans, 56-50, in 2008.
