Elliott Named To NCAA All-Regional Team

EUEGEN, Ore. - Senior Elisha Elliott was named to the 2013 Eugene All-Regional team for her efforts in the Tar Heels' three NCAA games this past weekend.
UNC took the first game of Regional play, defeating No. 25 Wisconsin 3-2 in eight innings on Thursday, before falling to No. 3 Oregon 3-0 and dropping a rematch with Wisconsin on Friday to be eliminated from NCAA play.
Elliott started and and played all three games in right field, finishing the week batting .300 with a pefect 1.000 fielding percentage, including several great diving catches for the Tar Heels.
Carolina finished the season 40-21 overall and 13-8 in ACC play, recording the sixth 40-win season in the last seven years.
