CAROLINA OUTREACH
Student-Athletes and Staff Ride to Benefit Uganda
For the third year in a row, Carolina Athletics joined with the UNC campus to support Building Tomorrow's Bike to Uganda project.
Tar Heels Enjoy Cedars Tailgate
On Sept. 25, UNC student-athletes joined residents of The Cedars of Chapel Hill for a night of food, fun and fellowship at a Cedars Tailgate hosted by the continuing care retirement community, located in Meadowmont Village.
Softball's Elly Wagner Tells About Summer Service in Vietnam
Elly Wagner didn't have your typical summer vacation. While others were relaxing by the pool, she was in rural Vietnam teaching math and baseball to sixth and seventh graders.
Men's Lacrosse Hosts Carolina Dreams
In 2004, former men's lacrosse midfielder Dave Werry wanted to provide opportunities for UNC student-athletes to connect with children at the North Carolina Children's Hospital, so he founded a program called Carolina Dreams. A decade later, UNC student-athletes continue to fulfill his goals by working together to give back to and connect with the Chapel Hill community.
Track and Field Hosts Carolina Dreams
Approximately 20 members of the men's and women's track and field teams hosted three families at Late Night with Roy festivities Friday evening as part of the Carolina Dreams program.
LEADERSHIP ACADEMY
CREED Kicks Off Leadership Training for First-Year Heels
Nearly 250 first-year student-athletes and approximately 100 mentors joined together Sept. 8 for the first Carolina CREED workshop of the year.

If you haven't been following the "My Carolina Experience" series, here's an opportunity to take a look back at the stories published since April. The series features unique stories of UNC student-athletes - mostly former, but a few current - and the impact that their time in Chapel Hill made or is making on them.
Majors Exploration Fair
On Oct. 8, Student-Athlete Services hosted the fourth-annual Majors Exploration Fair. The event was the biggest ever, with majors, minors and graduate programs represented, along with University Career Services. Approximately 80 student-athletes took advantage the opportunity to explore various academic paths.
Information Sessions
During the month of October, J.P. Morgan and Bank of America Merrill Lynch have held evening information sessions directed at student-athletes.
