Carolina Ranked 13th In Preseason AP Poll

The North Carolina women's basketball team checks in at No. 13 in the Associated Press preseason poll released on Thursday.
This joins a handful of other preseason polls that have the Tar Heels ranked among the best in the nation. Lindy's Sports has UNC sixth, while Athlon Sports puts Carolina 13th in its top25.
UNC is ranked in the AP preseason poll for the 12th time in the last 13 seasons with 2012-13 being the only time since 2001-02 that the team did not start inside the Top 25.
The AP poll includes nine teams on this year's schedule: No. 3 Notre Dame, No. 6 Stanford, No. 7 Duke, No. 12 Louisville, No. 20 Oregon State, No. 21 Oklahoma State, No. 23 UCLA, No. 24 Rutgers and No. 25 Syracuse.
