Harrison Barnes just gets it done in the Playoffs
You all remember how Harrison Barnes came alive in last year's playoffs for the Golden State Warriors. Well, in game one of the Warriors' first round series against the Los Angeles Clippers, Barnes picked up where he left off last year by giving the team 14 points and 8 rebounds off the bench. Barnes' contributions were critical to Golden State because of the foul trouble that plagued starting small forward Andre Iguodala the whole game.
One of Barnes' best plays of the game came late in the fourth quarter when he blocked a Chris Paul layup then ran back down the floor and buried a three-pointer from the wing to give the Warriors a 105-103 lead. Check out video of the play here.
Kendall Marshall reflects on his season with the Lakers
The Los Angeles Lakers had a poor season any way you look at it, but for point guard Kendall Marshall it was a great opportunity to prove that he belongs in the NBA. Marshall spoke to The Source and gave this Q&A about what he learned this season.
Vince Carter the sixth man
Throughout his NBA career Vince Carter was the star of the team he played for, but with this year's Dallas Mavericks team the former Tar Heel had to get used to coming off the bench. Carter performed well in his new role by averaging just under 12 points a game. Jason Jones of the Sacramento Bee has more on Carter's season as the Mavs' sixth man.
Dallas will need Carter to be a huge contributor if they are to pull of the upset of the top seeded San Antonio Spurs in the Western Conference playoffs.
Danny Green loves animals
This is a pretty interesting video featuring Spurs guards Danny Green as he talks about his love of animals. This also serves as your weekly reminder to keep your eyes on the Spurs first round series against the Dallas Mavericks because it's only a matter of time until Green gets hot from the three-point line like he did last year. Game two of the series is Wednesday night at 8 p.m. ET on NBATV. Here is Green's video, which was presented by Sprint:
