Heels Wrap Up Second Week Of Scrimmages

Chapel Hill, N.C. -- The Blue squad jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the first inning and held on to take an 8-6 win on Sunday afternoon at Boshamer Stadium.
Adam Pate stole home for the first run of the scrimmage, then later in the inning Colby Barnette belted a two-run homer to left that put Blue up 4-0.
Blue would go on to take an 8-2 lead in the sixth on a Wood Myers RBI-double to right center before Navy rallied with four runs in the seventh. Skye Bolt had a two-run double to left, then later in the inning Brian Miller ripped a two-run single to right.
Five pitchers saw action: Benton Moss, Jackson Bellenkes, Jack Geraghty, Zach Kuchmaner and Ryder Ryan.
Carolina's next closed scrimmage will be on Thursday.
