Hoops Alums Discuss Coming Home
September 17, 2014 | Men's Basketball
As usual, the summer saw a steady procession of Tar Heel basketball alumni making the pilgrimage back to the Smith Center. Several of them sat down for exclusive interviews on a wide-ranging set of topics. Here's a recap of some of our favorite summer conversations, including the must-see parts of each Q&A.
Danny Green
Don't miss: At the seven-minute mark, the 2009 national champion discusses his favorite basketball memories, with the Tar Heels playing a central role.
Antawn Jamison
Don't miss: Jamison was part of one of the best trios in program history, as he teamed with Vince Carter and Ademola Okulaja. The Charlotte native provides some insight into why that group clicked at around the 5:00 mark.
Jerry Stackhouse
Don't miss: Right at the start, Stackhouse watched the video of his famous dunk at Duke in 1995 and describes the play. "A couple of people just happened to be in the way" is a perfectly Stackhouse way of explaining the jam.
Kenny Smith
Don't miss: At 4:56, Smith is surprised with a film reel of his bad plays from Dean Smith's personal film collection. The point guard's reaction is funny, but his explanation of how he handled such plays is instructive.
