Hitting Dominates Saturday's Scrimmage

Chapel Hill, N.C. -- The bats were alive on Saturday afternoon as the Gray squad took a 10-7 win over Blue at Boshamer Stadium.
Gray jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first and never trailed as the two teams combined for 27 base hits, 13 for Gray and 14 for Blue.
Adam Pate led all hitters by going 4-4 at the plate and scoring three runs for Gray. Wood Myers was 3-5 for Gray while also scoring three times. Tyler Ramirez was 2-3 with four RBI.
Hunter Williams led Blue by going 4-5 with three RBI. Josh Merrigan and Zach Gahagan both had three hits for Blue while Ryder Ryan added two hits and two RBI.
Four pitchers saw action: Benton Moss, Jack Geraghty, Henry Sisson and Jackson Bellenkes.
Carolina will play host to the Ontarios Blue Jays on Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. before beginning the always-fun Fall World Series on Friday.
