Carter Wins ITA Carolinas Regional Singles Crown

CHAPEL HILL - Top seed Hayley Carter won the ITA Carolinas Regional singles title on Monday morning, earning an automatic bid to the upcoming ITA National Indoor Intercollegiate Championship in Flushing Meadows, N.Y.
Carter, the two-time All-America, defeated second-seeded Joana Eidukonyte of Clemson, 6-3, 7-5, in the championship match at Cone-Kenfield Tennis Center.
Carter joins teammates Jessie Aney and Kate Vialle, who won the doubles crown on Sunday, at the ITA championship in New York from Nov. 12-15.
Carolina hosts the Kitty Harrison Invitational Nov. 6-8 in Chapel Hill.
