Famous UNC Office Chair Raises Big Money
October 6, 2015 | Women's Basketball
Bidding began at $1,000 for the Carolina blue leather chair and ultimately went to winning bidder Dr. Mark Graham for $15,000. A former oncologist at UNC Lineberger, Graham also treated former NC State Hall of Fame head coach Kay Yow with her battle with breast cancer.
In fact, Graham also has Yow's old office chair, and both will be used at his hematology and oncology clinic.

Graham told espn.com, "We normally have La-Z-Boy type chairs for our patients when they are doing their chemotherapy. We thought this would be something different. But since we have fans of all persuasions, including those who love Duke and NC State, I'm assuming some will take a picture in it; others will want to wait until another chair frees up; and others might even cuss it."
Proceeds from Roy Williams' event will be given to the UNC Lineberger Cancer Center and the American Cancer Society. In its 11 years, Williams' breakfast has helped raise more than $2 million.
