Jackson, Coleman Join Paige On Sideline For Exhibition
November 6, 2015 | Men's Basketball
CHAPEL HILL – Marcus Paige, Justin Jackson and Justin Coleman will all be sidelined for the University of North Carolina's men's basketball exhibition game Friday evening against Guilford.
Paige has a broken bone in his right hand and is out for 3-4 weeks. Jackson was not feeling well after practice on Thursday and is being held out as a precaution. He is expected to return to practice on Monday.
Coleman will not be playing for an undetermined period of time.
“Justin is taking an indefinite leave from participating in basketball activities so that he may deal with a personal issue,” says head coach Roy Williams. “We wish Justin the best, will of course assist him in any way we can and hope he is able to rejoin our team as soon as possible."
Coleman played two seasons on the Tar Heels' junior varsity team before earning a spot on the varsity prior to last season. He played in 10 games as a junior. This past summer, Williams put Coleman on scholarship for his senior season. The Raleigh native attended Broughton High School.
