First Road Trip Takes UNC To Oklahoma State

• UNC shook off a bit of rust after a 10-day exam break with a 68-59 win over Appalachian State on Saturday afternoon at Carmichael Arena. Jamie Cherry scored 20 points to pace the Tar Heels, her fourth game with at least 20 this season. Destinee Walker scored in double figures for the 10th-straight outing with 17 points, and Hillary Summers had 13 points, eight rebounds and four blocks.

• Carolina won 79-77 over Oklahoma State last season in the only previous meeting between the two programs in Chapel Hill.
