December 7, 2015 | Men's Basketball
Paige and Ingram each helped his team to a 2-0 week that included a victory in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge. ACC Players of the Week are chosen by a vote of a 15-member media panel.
Paige opened his week by leading UNC to an 89-81 win over second-ranked Maryland in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge. Playing in his first game after returning from injury, the Marion, Iowa, guard scored 20 points and had five assists and two steals. He made 4-of-5 from 3-point range and scored 13 of his 20 points in the second half. He hit a 3-pointer moments after Maryland tied the game for the first time in the second half, then hit another three after Maryland had taken its first and only lead of the second half.
Sunday, in a 33-point win over previously unbeaten Davidson, Paige was one of five Tar Heels in double figures with 13 points, and he added four assists. He combined for nine assists and just two turnovers while playing 58 total minutes in the two games.
Paige is the ACC Player of the Week for a fifth time. He won the award four times as a sophomore in 2013-14.
