Chapel Hill, N.C. – North Carolina will return to competition on Fri, Feb. 20 in Raleigh, N.C. The Tar Heels will take on East Atlantic Gymnastics League rival, NC State, and two non-conference teams, Kent State and Rutgers, at 7 p.m. in Reynolds Coliseum.
“We are excited to travel to Raleigh and compete in Reynolds Coliseum again. We have the opportunity to have another strong away meet performance,” said head coach Derek Galvin.
On Sat, Feb. 14, UNC took on No. 8 Georgia and had an impressive showing with a multitude of stellar individual performances. The Bulldogs emerged victorious by a score of 196.200-195.200. The Tar Heels hope to carry this momentum into this weekend's competition.
“Going into this meet we are not quite as deep as we were against Georgia [last weekend.] We will not have Josselyn Mackey in the lineup due to injury,” said Galvin.
