No. 18 Carolina Welcomes No. 10 Miami This Weekend

CHAPEL HILL --- North Carolina concludes a modest four-game homestand when the Tar Heels host ACC Coastal division leader Miami in a three-game series beginning Friday at 6:30 p.m. at Boshamer Stadium. Carolina is 15-9 following a 9-0 win over Appalachian State on Tuesday, the team's first shutout of the year. The Hurricanes come to town having won eight of 10, including a home sweep of NC State and a road series win at Wake Forest. The series continues Saturday at 3 p.m. and concludes Sunday at noon. Tickets are available at the Boshamer box office and online at GoHeels.com/tickets, and all three games will be broadcast live on ESPN3.

CAROLINA-MIAMI SERIES HISTORY
• North Carolina is 25-32-1 all-time against Miami, including a 15-17-1 mark under head coach Mike Fox.
• Carolina dropped two of three to the Hurricanes in 2014, but the Tar Heels have won four of their last six against UM. The Tar Heels took two of three from the Canes in Chapel Hill during the 2013 regular season and added an eight-inning mercy-rule win in the 2013 ACC tournament.
• Miami won two of three last season in Coral Gables. The Hurricanes grabbed the series-opener 6-5 in 16 innings before Carolina rebounded for an 11-2 win in the nightcap of a doubleheader. UM took the series finale 2-0 with Bryan Radziewski outdueling Zac Gallen.
• UNC is 9-5-1 against Miami in Chapel Hill under Fox, with series wins in 2007, 2009 and 2013.
