CAROLINA falls to 21-10 overall, 11-7 in the ACC and 10-5 at home this year.
CAROLINA is the #5 seed in the ACC Tournament next week in Greensboro. The Tar Heels play on Wednesday, March 11, at 2:30 p.m. versus the winner of Tuesday's Boston College-Georgia Tech game.
MARCUS PAIGE led Carolina with 23 points, which matches his season scoring high. He also had 23 in a win at NC State.
PAIGE tied his season high with five three-pointers, which he also did at NC State. It was the sixth time in his career he made at least five three-pointers.
PAIGE scored 20 or more points for the fourth time this season and the 15th time in his career.
JUSTIN JACKSON had 14 points, the fifth consecutive game he has scored in double figures, his longest stretch of the season.
BRICE JOHNSON had 17 points, the seventh time in the last 13 games he has scored 17 or more points.
CAROLINA shot 58.3 percent from the floor in the second half. That is the third straight game the Tar Heels shot better than 50 percent in the second half and the fifth time UNC has done that in the last seven games.
KENNEDY MEEKS had a game-high nine rebounds and tied his season high with three assists, but scored two points, his lowest output of the season.
