Five Tar Heels Named All-Region

CHAPEL HILL—The University of North Carolina women's lacrosse team was well represented on the 2015 Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association's All-South Regional team, released on Monday by the IWLCA.
Tar Heels Maggie Bill, Courtney Waite and Caylee Waters grabbed first-team honors, while teammates Aly Messinger and Caileigh Sindall earned spots on the second team.
Waite and Waters also earned first-team All-Atlantic Coast Conference honors last month, while Bill and Sindall were on the second team. Messinger earned All-ACC Tournament honors after tallying 10 goals and two assists in three ACC Tournament games.
The IWLCA has honored 128 student-athletes in Division I with a selection on one of the All-Regional teams for 2015. These student-athletes are now eligible for inclusion on the IWLCA All-America teams, which will be announced on Monday May 18.
The IWLCA will honor the National All-Americas at the IWLCA All-America banquet on Saturday June 6, 2015, in King of Prussia, Pa
