Hatchell Gets Visit From Friend At Blueberry Patch
July 17, 2015 | Women's Basketball
Retired PA from the Lineberger Cancer Center, John Strader, visited Coach Hatchell at her Lineberger Cancer Center Blueberry Patch in the mountains of North Carolina.
He recently returned from six months of treating Ebola in Liberia and 21 days of quarantine. One of his first visits was with Coach Hatchell giving his support to her and Lineberger Cancer Center.
At her mountain place, located between Black Mountain and Fairview, Coach Hatchell has a blueberry patch that includes 250 bushes. All proceeds and collections go directly to the world-renowned Lineberger Cancer Center on the campus of the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. Coach Hatchell herself was treated at the Cancer Center in 2013 and 2014 for Leukemia.
