Navy Wins Thursday's Scrimmage

Chapel Hill, N.C. -- The Navy squad came back from an early 4-3 deficit to pull away to a 9-4 win on Friday afternoon at Boshamer Stadium
Navy took a 3-0 lead in the first on Tyler Ramirez's long three-run homer to right center. Blue promptly tied the score on Ryder Ryan's three-run homer to left in the second. Later in the inning, Wood Myers gave Blue a 4-3 lead with an RBI-single.
Tyler Ramirez's run-scoring single tied the score at 4-4 in the third, then Utah Jones's safety squeeze put Navy up 5-4. Another run on a fielder's choice later in the inning made it 6-4 Navy.
Tyler Lynn's fielder's choice drove in a run in the fourth to put Navy up 7-4. Navy got their final two runs in the seventh on a Brian Miller RBI-single and Eli Sutherland's RBI-double.
JB Bukauskus and Hunter Williams were the two starters, with Rodney Hutchinson, Cole Aker and Spencer Trayner throwing in relief.
The Tar Heels will scrimmage each of the next three days.
